The crowd came to silence
The
spotlights are shining
A tale has
to be told
In any age all the world is a stage
A play will now begin
There once
was a child
with a dream in his
mind
And a thousand things to learn
But with each passing day
His
childhood sleeps away
How soon the
first act ends
All the dreams that we have
Are
lost along the way
Victims of real
life
Now the child is a boy
And new
dreams have evolved
He strives to
make them real
Not the fear in his heart
Nor
a past full of pain
Will take away
his hope
But how cruel life is
And although
he resists
New problems will appear
So he'll loose one more chance
Time destroys all his plans
The
second act is done
We are looking for
the meaning
of our lives
But our faults remain
the same
And the truth will be distant
from
our hearts
where our dreams will
never end
But our fate is in command
Now the boy is a man
Though his
visions remain
He knows they have
no chance
A heart full of hate
All his
hope driven away
Life's worn down
his defence
How many lives in the world born
and die in disillusionment
Not allowed
to have dreams
And one day make'em
real
This tale will never end

청중은 잠잠해지고
조명이 빛나기
시작했어
이야기가 시작되는 거야
어느 시대든지 세상은 무대이고
이제 한 편의 연극이 시작될 거야
마음속에
꿈을 품은
한 아이가 있었지
배워야
할 것도 많았어
하지만 하루하루 지나면서
유년시절은
모르는 사이에 사라지고
1막은
너무 빨리 끝났어
살아가는 동안
우리가 가졌던 꿈은 사라지고
현실의 희생양이 되지
이제 그 아이가 소년이 되고
새로운
꿈이 생겨났어
소년은 그 꿈을 이루려
노력했어
마음속에 자리 잡은 불안도
고통으로
가득 찬 지난날도
소년의 희망을 꺾지 못했어
하지만 삶이란 얼마나 잔인한지
소년은 맞서 싸워보지만
새로운 문제가
생겨나기 마련이지
그는 꿈을 하나씩 포기하고
시간은
소년의 계획을 파괴하고
2막이 내렸어
우리는 삶의 의미를 찾고 있지만
우리의 잘못은 아직도
그대로 남아
있어
포기하지 않는
꿈을 간직한 마음으로부터
진실은 멀리 있지만
결국 운명이 모든 것을 지배해
이제 소년은 어른이 되었어
꿈은
여전히 남아 있지만
이룰 가망이
없다는 걸 알고 있어
마음은 증오로 가득하고
희망은
휩쓸려 가버리고
삶은 그의 저항마저도
닳게 했어
이 세상에서 얼마나 많은 생명이
환멸 속에 태어났다가 죽을까
언젠가 꿈을 이룰 수 있다는
희망도 허락받지 못한 채 말이야
이 이야기는 끝나지
않을 거야
우리는 삶의 의미를 찾고 있지만
우리의 잘못은 아직도
그대로 남아
있어
포기하지 않는
꿈을 간직한 마음으로부터
진실은 멀리 있지만
결국 운명이 모든 것을 지배해
