Decided faces and unfriendly smiles
Staring
with eyes
that just cannot believe
Living
in squalor they hardly exist
The fruits
of their efforts
are swallowed with
tears
The past was good the older men say
Remember
the life then
Those were the days
Riding
through fantasies
with carefree grace
Living
was easy
No worries to face
Now I'm searching for another escape
I
wanna be free just to think and to write
No
obstructions or people to hate
Freedom
to wander
with truth In my veins
Most of the people have given up hope
They
strive for something
they don't understand
Contented
to watch
the world pass them by
Not
caring or hoping for love anymore
What of the younger people today
What
do they think
What do they wanna say
Are
they happy with things as they are
Will
they do something
Or go much too far
Their thoughts and their words
are
important to them
Speaking their minds
they're immediately crushed
Confused
In their hearts
But love in their hearts
Doing
just nothing but thinking they must
But now there's a light
It shines
very dim
It needs someone to kindle the
flame
Freedom will come but it's still
far away
But we will have all
that
we hope for someday

믿을 수
없다는 듯 응시하는 눈빛
부패 속에 살며
더
이상 존재하지 않는
그들의 노력은
후회의
눈물로 덮이리
어른들은 예전이 좋았다고들 하지

시절을 떠올려 봐
그때가 좋았어
아무
걱정 없이 떳떳이
상상의 나래를 펼쳤던
그
시절은 태평했고
아무런 근심 없었어
이제 난 또 다른 탈출구를 찾고 있어
그저
생각과 표현의 자유를 원할 뿐이야
아무런
방해나 증오도 없이
내 핏 속을 흐르는
자유를
말이야
사람들은 대부분 희망을 잃고
그들이
이해하지도 못하는
무언가를 향해 노력하고
있어
더 이상 사랑에 대한 희망이나
생각도
없이 그저 스쳐가는
세상을 바라보는 것에
만족해
지금의 젊은이들은 어떨까
무슨 생각을
하고
무슨 말을 하고 싶을까
현재의
모습에 만족할까
무언가를 행동으로 옮길까
아니면
그 보다 더 나아갈까
생각과 말은
그들에게 중요하지만
생각의
표출은
즉시 억압 당하고
마음은 혼돈에
쌓이지
하지만 가슴속 사랑은
행동
없는 생각일뿐
하지만 이제 빛이 보여
아주 희미하게
빛나는 빛이 보여
누군가 그 빛에 불을
밝혀야 해
자유는 오겠지만 아직 멀기만
해
하지만 언젠가 우리가 희망한
그
모든 것을 얻게 되리
