보일러실에는 귀뚜라미가 울고
전화는 먹통이고
가족과 친구는
잠시 멀리 떠났어
벨을 누르고 찾아와
칼을 고쳐주던 칼장수
칼을 수리하는 모습을
수년간 봐왔었지
그 세월 동안
여러 생각이 들었어
그의 아내는 죽고
이제 혼자가 됐어
보일러실 귀뚜라미를 잡아서
유리잔에 넣었다가
문을 열고 다시 자유롭게
놓아주었어
칼장수, 벨을 눌러
크게 눌러
마음속 두려움을 떨치고
세게 눌러

여러 생각이 들었어

귀뚜라미가 바깥 나무에서
웃는 소리가 들려서
추억에 잠기려 했는데
아무 생각도 떠오르지 않았어
